It amazes me as I watch these politicians try to push the blame for these banks going under on everyone but the real culprits in this deal. THEMSELVES!! Congress (democrats) in 1996 under Bill Clinton demanded that the investment banks make these home loans to people who could not pass the loan requirements nor come up with a down payment. And...It is really worrisome that the same people that caused the collapse are the ones taking over the banks!!! Just what we need. Not only are they unqualified to run these companies, but they are illegally taking them over. The constitution specifically says that the federal government CANNOT own part or all of a private company. These takeovers are not only illegal, but they open the door for a flood of other takeovers of private companies. I hate to see any company fail, but our government has NO BUSINESS bailing them out...especially with OUR $$$$$. Just who do they think they are, spending our tax $ without our consent? We had better watch these things very closely.
